West Pak Avocado’s Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing Doug Meyer brings 23 years of produce industry experience to the table. With a strong background in sales and sales management, marketing and product development, and quality assurance, this seasoned avo-pro proudly heads up the company’s sales and marketing team.
How many years have you been in the produce industry?
Doug: This is my 24th year in the produce industry and my 11th here at West Pak.
Why are you passionate for avocados?
Doug: I am so passionate about avocados because they are an extremely nutritious and versatile fruit, and consumption continues to increase not just here in the United States, but all over the world. These are excellent things for West Pak and the avocado industry.
What is your role at West Pak?
Doug: I am our company’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In addition to leading our sales and marketing effort, I work closely with my executive team members to position our company for growth and success, today and into the future.
What are you most excited to see in the future of produce innovation?
Doug: I am most excited for science and technology innovations that help us to improve our efficiencies to grow, harvest, pack, ripen, and distribute our products to our customers.
