The seed to store journey takes dedication and teamwork to bring the finest avocados from the farm to tables across the globe. From thoughtful nurturing and careful handling to the ultimate delivery of our precious cargo, every participant plays a vital role in moving the needle across the supply chain.

Field

Our Field team builds strong relationships with local avocado growers, leveraging decades of expertise to ensure healthy crops. They connect growers to the market by managing harvest logistics and packouts.

Operations

The Operations department manages the handling of avocados from harvest to distribution. The team oversees fruit handling, including sizing, grading, and packing, ensuring quality, consistency, and the freshest fruit for our customers.

Logistics

Logistics is responsible for the efficient and timely delivery of avocados to customers, including managing transportation and ensuring proper cold storage and handling of the fruit for the entire journey.

Sales & Marketing

Focused on driving sales and increasing brand visibility West Pak’s Sales & Marketing team proudly provides customized avocado experiences and support to retailers, foodservice providers, and distributors.

Administration

Whether supporting systems, people, or processes, our Administrative team is the backbone of West Pak’s organizational efficiency. They provide the right mix of precision, discretion, collaboration, and a service-oriented mindset.

Supply Chain / Sourcing

The Supply Chain and Sourcing teams play a crucial role in ensuring our avocados are sourced responsibly, transported efficiently, and delivered on time with the quality and consistency levels our customers deserve and expect.

Who We Are

Co-founders Galen Newhouse and Randy Shoup started West Pak in the early ‘80s as a small packing house in Southern California. In over four decades, we have become a significant force in the avocado industry with packing, ripening, and distribution centers strategically located throughout the United States, Mexico, and Colombia. With a solid foundation that respects family and culture, we’re proud of our strong market position and are devoted to pursuing sustainable, responsible growth to meet the needs of the rapidly growing global avocado market.

West Pak’s regional office in Oxnard is strategically positioned within the Central California growing area. This office serves as a hub for the sales team but also provides valuable support and resources to local avocado growers, enhancing collaboration and efficiency in the supply chain.

Community Impact

Our approach to community engagement is powered by our people. The West Pak Cares Committee empowers employee volunteers to organize events and provide different ways to get involved in and support our local communities.

Food Donations

We recognize the responsibility we have to help address food insecurity. West Pak contributes to hunger relief through contributions to various organizations, including Feeding America and the Allgire Foundation’s annual Spring Harvest. By donating pallets of avocados, we help ensure our neighbors in need can access the high-quality nutrition they deserve.

Blood Drive

To make a difference in the lives of others, West Pak participates in regular blood drives. Blood donated goes towards transfusions for patients battling life-threatening medical conditions, including cancer, blood disorders, severe burns, organ transplants, emergency surgery, trauma, childbirth complications, and more.

Charity

Employees volunteer with community organizations that support everyone, from children to seniors. We have sponsored various events and coordinated fundraising, food drives, and collections of clothing, coats, and diapers for nonprofits supporting people in need in our local communities.
