A vital part of the Food Safety Program is our Trace Recall Program. West Pak has developed a fully informational and inclusive system which enables us to track fruit from the grower to the shipper, and ultimately, to the receiver. In the event of a contamination issue in the marketplace, West Pak has the ability to recall and quickly remove any questionable fruit from our customers' shelves through our Recall Program. The program consists of comprehensive and well-defined steps we have installed in order to ensure a safe, efficient and thorough removal of the potentially contaminated fruit on all levels. In addition, West Pak runs a mock trace recall event each year where the entire company is involved on how to properly handle a contamination event and to ensure readiness and professionalism if such an event should occur.
